I'm an amateur woodworker from central Vermont. I got the old tool bug in the late 1990's, with a special interest in planes. I have a respectable collection of user planes, a few collectable pieces, and over 70 miniature (under 6") metallic planes. I finally made my own workbench in 2004, a necessary step to practice with the planes. I use a few machines also, many from the 40's and 50's bought at salvage and restored.
